When Tyler was 4 we taught him to look for the all names of Jesus and Heavenly Father in his scriptures, and then mark them with a scripture marking pencil. I think it started as a way to get Tyler to be reverent during the Sacrament, but now he does it for most of Sacrament meeting. He also does it each day for "reading" his scriptures.
His little red scriptures are turning into a real treasure.
Hundreds of little markings on many, many pages.

We started this exact thing with Owen when he was 4. And that is what he does during scriptures too.

Hi, Angela. I'm Sarah's mom. I met you back in the Tempe days. I wanted to mention a cool thing that just happened. My daughter Emily was on FB with a friend when she saw that a girl named Amye also commented to that friend, so she commented to her that her mom's name was spelled the same way. Then this Amye said, "hey, I know who you are! I was named after your mom, our moms were roommates, and you and I share the same birthday!"
So now your cousin Amye is friends with Emily and me, and I just told Amye about the Sarah/Angela connection! I love this small world!
What a small world! I remember making that connection across the table from you at that YW Event back in Tempe. Amazing that Emily has connected with my cousin. Thanks for raising such a wonderful daughter, Sarah is great :) I think my Aunt Marilyn has a blog and a facebook. The world is so small with technology.
